Our scoring rubric
Each course earns a sub-score out of 5 on each criterion. We weight those sub-scores to produce the overall rating you see on every review. Value for money carries the most weight, because for the large majority of readers the real question is the fastest, most affordable route to a recognised credential and paying clients.
| Criterion | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | 35% | What you pay against what you get, including hidden renewal and membership fees. |
| Accreditation & recognition | 25% | Whether it awards a credential clients and agents actually recognise. |
| Course content & depth | 20% | Whether it teaches both the staging craft and the business of staging. |
| Speed & flexibility | 10% | How fast you can finish around a job and start taking clients. |
| Guarantee & support | 10% | Refund window, lifetime access, and ongoing help. |
| Total | 100% |
How we gather evidence
Wherever we can, we enrol in or trial the course ourselves and use first-hand screenshots of the curriculum and dashboard. Where we cannot enrol, we rely on the provider's published curriculum, pricing, and terms, and we say so. We prioritise original observation over rewriting marketing copy.
Pricing and currency
Course prices change often and are frequently discounted in promotions. We list prices as approximate and note when a figure is a typical full price rather than a sale price. We re-check pricing on each review pass.
How often we update
Each review shows a published date and a last-updated date. We revisit reviews when a course changes its price, curriculum, accreditation, or guarantee, and refresh the comparison rankings accordingly.
How the site is funded
We may earn a referral fee when readers enrol through our links, at no extra cost to them. That funds our research. Scores come from the weighted criteria above and nothing else, and no course can pay to change its score or its position. Read our full editorial policy for how we handle corrections.
