The home staging course at the International Institute of Home Staging is run by a team that has a fair amount of experience in home staging. Naomi, the founder of IIHS, owned and operated a home staging business for 9 years, and has been quoted on a number of Australian real estate websites.
The website is one of the slickest in the industry, which hints at the quality of the courses, although initially I was a little put off by the internet-marketing guru vibe I got on a few pages with phrases like “six figure career“, “VIP Wait-lists“, and “constant stream of clients“. Often hyperbole that focuses on what the exceptional students can achieve means the course over promises and under delivers, but we’ll see about that soon…

If you are just wanting the certificate to add to your website or CV to win more customers, then you can get that cheaper from other providers.

That means there is a tiny $3 premium for paying via installments, but that’s actually so small it’s not worth worrying about. Some other courses can cost up to $500 more if you choose to pay via installments.
Refund Policy: We see no evidence of a refund policy on the IIHS website.
Material: The learning modules at the Institute of Home Staging cover a broad range of home staging topics. Essentially, everything you need to get started on staging your first house.
Is is missing in-depth marketing modules that you may see at other courses, which are important for those who are wanting to start a home staging business. Such a module would cover topics like how to start a home staging website, or tips on building your home staging portfolio.
This course has a specific module on Client Consultations, which is great for students who may feel nervous going into their first consultation and would like guidance on exactly how they should take place.
Bonuses: The bonus included in the Art of Home Staging course is a live training event with course founder Naomi. This event is held in Australia, near Sydney, so if you’re unable to attend in person the live stream will be available to watch.
Reviews: There are seven written Institute of Home Staging reviews on their own website, from previous happy customers. Additionally, there are four video testimonials, which is also good to see.
Some of the reviews are about the in-person Australian based course, which they all said was a great day. The reviews on the online aspects of the course are also positive, and the general feedback is that people are enjoying working through the home staging course modules.

I can’t help but raise an eyebrow at how it is called the International Institute of Home Staging, with one office in Australia, and the in-person training in Australia, but I guess their online course ticks the box to make them international.
